​(Re)Create is pleased to present “Eden Bacchanal.” The Eden Project, an ongoing body of work by Paris based Olga Kisseleva, who was awarded the Grand Prize S+T+ARTS (Science, Technology and Arts) from Ars Electronica, Linz, Austria. Curator Elga Wimmer continues her work with Olga Kisseleva, whose past exhibitions include shows at the Reina Sofia Museum, Madrid, Chelsea Art Museum, New York, and the Gabarron Museum, Valladolid, in the new Venice space of the (Re)Create Artist Residency program. During the (Re)Create residency, Castelnuovo, Asti, in 2022 Olga Kisseleva continued the development of her EDEN project. EDEN is a new kind of organic network based on vegetal medium. As we know, all vegetable species can communicate with its environment. Instead of words they use different kinds of molecular emission. The communication can be established between trees of the same species, but it can also be addressed to a different organism: insect, or animal, including human. This aptitude helps trees to optimize their vital mechanisms and to protect themselves from potential aggressors. Realized in collaboration with the Orange Telecom company from France EDEN transforms this encrypted

    ​​communication into a comprehensive and open network. Humans can follow it through the works created by Olga Kisseleva. At (Re)Create Artist Residency, Castelnuoivo, Asti, Olga Kisseleva worked in two different fields. She realized measurements and plant communication records of regional vineyards (Nizza, Grinzane Cavour...) in order to produce new EDEN artwork transcribing vineyards. She also created vegetable colors from the local plants. The exhibition at the (Re)Create Venice space will present the pretranscription of the Piedmont vineyard’s Barbera and Dolcetto communication. The virtual transcription is presented as a video projection. As a material trace of the vineyard conversation the artist created the serigraphic prints using the plant colors, she herself produces directly from the plant fragments she collected during her stay in Piedmont. In particular, the leaves and branches of the Barbera and Dolcetto vines were used to produce the colors for the works in this exhibition.
